Şirin Budak Taflan
Şirin Budak Taflan is an experienced oncology nurse who has devoted her career to standing beside cancer patients and supporting them at every stage of their treatment journey. Beginning her career caring for pediatric patients, her path led her to the heart of cancer care and to an understanding that the relationship of trust built with a patient is an inseparable part of treatment itself.
Şirin Budak Taflan completed her nursing education at Kocaeli University. In the early years of her career she worked in pediatrics and pediatric hematology-oncology at the American Hospital in Istanbul, gaining experience with one of the most vulnerable patient populations. She went on to serve as a medical oncology nurse at Medicana International, and since 2011 she has worked alongside Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Salih İyikesici and Prof. Dr. Bülent Berkarda.
